Bike Nights is run by one rider, not a company. If something's wrong, or a meet on the map has moved, changed night or stopped running, please say so. The whole point of the app is that the information is right, and riders on the ground know before I do.

I read everything. Expect a reply within a few days. It's one person, and sometimes that person is out on a bike.

Reporting a wrong listing

The most useful thing you can tell me is which meet, and what's actually true. For example, "The Ship on Wednesdays hasn't run since April" or "Squires starts at 6pm not 7pm". If you know where the correct information came from, such as the pub's own page or the club's Facebook group, that helps me check it.

Suggesting a meet or event that's missing

Please include:

The venue name and full address or postcode
Which night it runs, and how often, such as every week, first and third Tuesday, last Sunday of the month, and so on
What time it starts, if there is a set time
Whether it runs all year or only in the warmer months
A link to wherever it's advertised, if there is one

You can now send these straight from the app under More, then "Add a bike night", which is easier for both of us, because it comes to me with the fields already filled in. Email is still fine if you'd rather.

Why a meet might show no start time

Because nobody wrote one down. Where a start time isn't confirmed, the app says so rather than inventing one. A wrong time sends you to an empty car park, which is worse than no time at all. If you know the real time, please tell me.

Reporting something offensive

Riders can now send in bike nights, corrections and photos, so there is user-submitted content, but nothing appears until I have read and approved it. There is also a report control on every listing, under "What's not right?", which covers anything offensive or unsafe. Reports come to me and get acted on. If you find something in the app that shouldn't be there, use that or email the address above.

Where the data comes from

The bike nights started as a Google map I've maintained for years, checked and cleaned up before going into the app. Events are verified against the organiser's own website or listing before they're published, and each one shows when it was last checked. If something's out of date, it means the world moved and I haven't caught up yet, so do tell me.
